Prompt #3

So, nobody came by for last week's prompt, not even me. Maybe I picked too odd a word... So this week I'm going to keep it simpler. Use any two (2) of the following...

  • Book
  • Night
  • Tree
  • Moon
  • Bed
...and write a drabble, 100 words.

Now, you don't necessarily have to use the words themselves: what's important are the concepts. And feel free to subvert. :-)

Flash Forward: Progress Report

I've been putting together the book. I'm early, by the way: usually I wait until the first of the year to start formatting it. But Flash Forward is already at 190 pages, and I figure it'll be well over 200 by the end of October. I want to do one more long-form story (as in 2000+ words, maybe considerably more) from my 'list of ideas'. And I'll probably do at least two or there more 500 and 1000 word stories from prompts/challenges, which have made up the bulk of my writing the last three months.

This is good news. I can have a 200+ page book ready for sale for Christmas, and start the novel fairly soon.

I'm pretty happy with my progress. :-)

Prompt #2

Today's prompt comes to you courtesy a tattered copy of the 1949 edition of Webster's New Collegiate Dictionary, closed eyes, and an index finger. The word is:

Sanctum

This time you have 200 words. A "Double Drabble", if you please.
